View on TrustpilotReview Summary for SunGift Solar Ltd
SunGift Solar Ltd is frequently praised for the professionalism and politeness of its installation teams, with customers highlighting efficient and timely project execution, even for complex tasks like roof strengthening or ground array installations. However, a significant recurring issue has been inconsistencies in aftercare and customer service, particularly concerning remote system adjustments, post-installation support, and communication when initial contacts leave the company, with some customers experiencing unaddressed complaints and a lack of follow-through. The company appears well-suited for comprehensive solar PV and battery installations, including those under government schemes like HUG2, and also for servicing existing solar panels and addressing specific issues like optimiser failures or damage. Before ordering, customers should clarify the specific post-installation support structure, especially regarding remote adjustments and who to contact if their initial project lead leaves the company, as well as confirm the process and expected timeline for receiving all necessary export documentation, which may involve third-party contractors and potential delays.

This is an update of my view of SunGift Solar Ltd since my original review dated 19 Jul 2025. That original review is a record of my unfortunate experience with SunGift at the time and it is an experience that can't be undone. However, SunGift Solar has since assigned a managing director to overhaul the provision of maintenance and service and I have received welcome reassurances that, should I need any assistance in maintaining my solar installation in the future, I feel confident I will receive prompt and efficient service. I am therefore happy to submit this more favourable review as a record of my positive recent interactions with the company.
SunGift Solar installed PV panels under the HUG2 scheme together with a battery. My roof required strengthening and they carried out this work quickly and efficiently before installing the solar system. All work was carried out on time and the engineers were always polite.Overall, very happy with the experience so far and have already recommended the company to a neighbour!
Very impressed with SunGift's planning and installation service, my wife says the politest fitters ever! Panels work well, the scaffold was taking down 2 after install so that's good too!Because we had these installed under the government's HUG2 scheme a third-party contractor based in Bristol, they were responsible for the handover rather the SunGift themselves. initially, the contractor didn't pass over the documentation we needed to allow us to start Exporting (this was the contractor's error, not Sungift). After several sessions of email tennis, the contractor finally sent the documentation, alas for completely the wrong address! Luckily a very helpful lady at National Grid was able to sort it out for us and send us the correct certificate.Be warned it could be several weeks before you receive the necessary paperwork to allow you to 'export' back to your energy provider.
I recently had issues with a failed optimiser on one of my solar panels. SunGift dealt with it promptly and efficiently. Amelia kept me informed every step of the way and provided prompt responses to my queries. I thoroughly recommend them.
I used Sungift to service my solar panels and provide a report on their efficiency as they were coming up to 12 years old. The guys arrived on time, were very professional in the way they did their work and the report was comprehensive and delivered quickly. Many thanks.
