Evidence before claims
We make specific trust claims only when we have evidence to support them.
Meet TopGreenDeals founder Ivan Kuznetsov and learn how we help UK homeowners explore home energy improvements, including our evidence-backed installer verification process.
I’m Ivan Kuznetsov, founder of TopGreenDeals. I created the site to make it easier for UK homeowners to understand home energy options and take a practical next step—from learning about solar panels and heat pumps to estimating potential solar savings.
My aim is to make useful information easier to navigate while being clear about what the evidence can, and cannot, support.
Connect with Ivan on LinkedInTopGreenDeals helps homeowners explore lower-carbon home improvements with plain-English guides, calculators and a directory of installers. We want people to understand their options, ask better questions and make decisions that fit their home and circumstances.
Before we describe a newly discovered installer as verified, we check its active Companies House identity and matching official website. We check the website for services, service areas, contact details, an address and a company logo, and check that the listing is not a duplicate. All these checks must pass before we publish the installer as verified.
A company being listed or active on the directory does not by itself mean it has passed this process. MCS or RECC status is not assumed or guaranteed for every company, so check an installer’s current credentials before appointing them.

We aim to turn complex home energy topics into practical information people can use.
We explain the limits of our checks so homeowners can make their own informed decisions.
