Review Summary for M & N Heating & Plumbing Limited

M & N Heating & Plumbing Limited unfortunately garners very little praise from customers in the available reviews, with the sole positive comment highlighting good customer service and quick resolution of a hot water issue in a new property. The most common problems reported are a pervasive lack of reliability, including missed appointments, long delays in service and parts delivery, and poor communication, particularly in coordinating with other parties like home builders. There are also recurring complaints about the quality of workmanship, with issues ranging from poorly fitted radiators and solar panels to ongoing pressure problems in heating systems and multiple leaks, often with the company allegedly charging to fix their own faulty installations or refusing to admit liability. The company appears best suited for new builds, as the majority of feedback, both positive and negative, stems from installations or repairs within properties recently purchased through developers like Bellway. Before ordering, a customer should absolutely clarify expected lead times for all work and parts, the exact scope of any included warranty or defect rectification policy, and how explicitly the company commits to resolving issues stemming from their initial installation without additional charges.

Followed their process, completed their form, they didn't call back as promised, I chased ............. only to be told they are not taking on any new customers for a few weeks or months hence there is nothing they were willing to do! Why waste peoples time if that is the case - just put it on your website. Not a great way to endear yourself to the local community!

Bought a house through bellway, and have had problems with my kitchen tap since July 2022, which still hasn’t been fixed by M&N Plumbing. The issue was reported right away, and a plumber was due to come out and look at the issue. I stayed in ALL DAY for this plumber to turn up, and still no show by 4pm, baring in mind there offices close at 5pm. I’m ringing numerous of times to see where this plumber is… he didn’t show up until 7pm that evening!! Looked like he had gone home, forgot about the job and then come back out as I was kicking up a fuss about where this plumber was (this guy was supposedly meant to be a supervisor as well). Anyway the plumber come out and couldn’t undo the nut to get to the cold water valve. He suggested we needed a whole new tap to be replaced. Off he went, and supposedly ordered a new tap. 3 weeks later we still had no update, I chased this up and was told it can take about 5 weeks to be delivered to my house. So I held out the 5 weeks, and a cold water valve was sent to my property, NOT a tap! I notified bellway that a part had then been delivered, to which they contacted yourselves to arrange for another plumber to come out. After about 6/7 weeks, another plumber come out and come in and said, I’m here to change the valve on your tap. I said no the whole tap needs changing. Anyway he had the same issue, couldn’t undo the nut and looked at the part they sent out and said why have they sent out a nut and for me to change it, if they knew you needed a new tap! So two different plumbers come out and said THE SAME THING. Not only are you wasting my time, you’re wasting your own!!! The second plumber said befor he left, that he’d order a new tap this time and get this sorted. I’ve now waited since the end of August for this “tap” to arrive, still nothing!! I’ve chased this up numerous times with no update. The last I spoke to bellway two weeks ago, they have said that the plumbers have said it’s the valve AGAIN. When two of their own plumbers have said the whole tap needs ordering and replacing!!!! How does it take 3 months nearly 4 months to get a blooming tap and replace it. At this rate, I’m not even hopeful this is gonna be fixed by the end of the year. Absolutely disgusting. Im living with a hot water tap ONLY downstairs at the moment and have a disabled child which is reliant on cold water for drinking constantly!! But no one seems to be listening to me!! Would it not be quicker for me to buy a tap, you replace it and you reimburse me for the tap?!

They fitted the heating and plumbing in our house, worst job ever!! Things have been constantly going wrong, we asked them back to fix a leaking radiator (which they fitted poorly) and they charged nearly £80. £80 for something they fitted incorrectly and for something that took less than 2 minutes to repair. This company is an absolute joke! The work is poor and then they charge you to put right something they did wrong in the first place! If I had been told they were going to charge, I would have gone to someone else, I only went to them as it was there fault it was leaking, so surely they should put right there wrong for free!!

I have had to wait 5 weeks to have the Bellway and incompetent 3rd party plumber (MNHeating) come out to investigate an ongoing blockage in the main shower. It was meant to be a joint visit. The plumber from MNHeating turned up at 8am and then leaves as my sister has to go work (despite me telling both parties that I wouldn't be home till 9am) and then Bellway turns up at 9am asking where the engineer is LOL. And now I have to wait another 3.5 weeks! Shocking service, why isn't MNHeating liasing with Bellway. Poor service and its exactly what I expect of the plumbing industry sadly.
