Work undertaken: New Boiler, all new central heating pipes and new radiators

We have been using intelligent heating and gas for a few years and Gerri has always been professional, reliable and honest. He completed this huge job quickly and we are very happy with the end product. I have already recommended Gerri to friends and family.

Work undertaken: New Boiler Installation

Gerri came to install a new boiler and upgrade gas works/pipes. He came to survey property first and provided an estimate very quick. Showed up to complete the works promptly at the time specified. He was very respectful of the property and made me feel very at ease - sometimes it can be quite daunting as a female alone in the property having tradespeople in. His work was very neat, he tidied thoroughly before leaving and kept me updated with how things were going throughout the process. I highly recommend. Thank you Gerri!

Work undertaken: Removal of a system boiler and installation of a Worcester combi boiler

The IHG engineer, Gerri Burgess, did a superb job. He took out the old boiler, large water tank, hot water cylinder and redundant water piping in 2 cupboards and removed all waste quickly and efficiently. He increased gas pressure by replacing gas piping from the meter outside into.the house under the floorboards to reach the kitchen, removing and replacing carpet and heavy furniture with infinite care and patience. He then completed the installation of the new boiler. Gerri was experienced, committed, pleasant, thoughtful and a problem-solver who explained everything. He did a superb job.

Work undertaken: Central Heating install

Gerri installed a full central heating system in my flat and I couldn’t be happier with the result. The work was done incredibly quickly, the price was extremely reasonable, and most impressively, he was completely unintrusive throughout the whole process, can barely tell the work has been done. Highly recommend.

Work undertaken: New triple radiator

Our existing radiator in the sitting room was very old and unable to fully heat the room. Gerri came and fitted a new triple radiator in its place and we now enjoy a welcoming, warm room! Gerri is very tidy and efficient. He left no mess and took the old rad away with him. He is very reliable, letting us know when he would do the job and how long it would take. His rates are very reasonable and we will definitely use Intelligent Heating and Gas Ltd. again. Thank-you!

Work undertaken: Replacement of an Ariston system boiler by a Worcester Bosch combi boiler

I chose Intelligent Gas Heating, and Gerri Burgess did a truly superb job. He is an experienced, patient, conscientious and problem-solving engineer, who in addition to boiler work had to replace gas piping from outside into the house and then under the sitting room floor to the kitchen, as our existing piping was not powerful enough. His work was efficient, speedy, well thought through and well finished. His communication skills were excellent and he was at all times pleasant and helpful. He removed all waste and left everything very tidy. In brief, the 3 day work completed was superb.

Avoid, avoid, avoid. I cannot recommend INYO based on my experience. It pretends to be a company that will deliver integrated solutions but is basically a one man band with multiple layers of subcontracting and short lived staff doing odd bits here and there. We had to point out the wrong panels had been delivered and constantly chase for updates despite theoretically having a 'project manager' who we never met. The installed ASHP had a leak in the system which we pointed out for months after installation, but we kept being told to 'keep topping the system up' so that it 'settled', and they never sent someone to investigate. We eventually had to pay another company to come and find the leak (INYO did then fix it and reimburse). Once the project was complete, it transpired that the witness testing for the solar panels that we had paid for never happened. It took another 6 months of weekly chasing and angry phone calls to sort out (although they still haven't reimbursed the testing that never happened). I would avoid this company: if anything goes wrong (inevitable in any project), you'll spend more hours than it's worth chasing for a resolution and regret ever getting involved. Go with a larger company with more in house staff and better post-installation service.
