FG Trew

Trews have been great on one hand (quote/order/installation of stove) and I thank them. Plasterer due to finish job Friday, no show. I’m a bit of a traditionalist, and would expect the bare basic manners eg a call, message etc that the plasterer was not coming, but as so often happens these days - no show, no message, no apology. Of course after taking a day off work - that’s another annual leave day down the pan, we have no way of recouping our loss, and the plasterer…well who knows?

I found making decisions for our bathroom quite stressful, so instead of spending hours searching online, it was a real benefit to visit a one-stop shop like Trews. Mr Trew and Charlotte couldn’t have been more helpful throughout the entire process. Mr Trew came out to our home to measure both the bathroom and en-suite, really listened to what I was looking for, and offered excellent advice on products as well as practical solutions to potential issues. Charlotte was incredibly patient and supportive, especially when it came to helping me make decisions, which made a huge difference. I was provided with a computer mock-up, along with product catalogues tailored to my preferences, which made narrowing down choices much easier. The showroom itself is excellent—it really helped being able to see items in situ, and I even chose tiles that were displayed there. Another big advantage of buying from Trews was that everything was delivered together, which made the process much smoother. The delivery staff were also very helpful. I really appreciated the time and support given by Mr Trew and Charlotte. Their guidance made decision-making far less overwhelming and took a huge amount of stress out of what could have been a difficult experience. This was definitely a 5-star experience, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Trews to anyone planning a bathroom project.

My parents got their bathroom completely re-done through FG Trew. We are so very happy with the results. Alex was wonderful at guiding us through the materials to choose and Nathan was hard working and did an excellent job at getting it all fitted and working, especially with a tight schedule. Diolch!

Appalling service and professionalism! When I took my elderly mother to the Trew's showroom in October to choose a fire surround, we were initially very impressed with the service, both in terms of advice and quotes given. After me sharing photos, drawings and measurements, it was decided that it would be best if the company also came out in person to measure up the space. When I queried if it could be fitted before Christmas, I got laughed at with an 'of course if will be'. Three store visits and two phone calls later there was still no sign of a phone call to arrange a visit for measuring. There had been no contact from Trews to explain the delay, just a total lack of communication. On my final visit to the store a couple of week's ago, I was given no excuse other than 'sorry pressure of work'. I had initially reassured my mum that Trews was a wonderful company, having used them for my own work in the past. It is somewhere that I will never return to recommend to anyone.

Was recommended FG Trews through a friend and it was certainly a good recommendation. Pleasure to deal with from start to finish. Michael was excellent and provided great advice and was happy to answer any questions but to be honest we weren't left with many as he covered everything thay was needed. From the first enquiry to the install was only a couple of weeks! We got lucky with the weather but also hats off the the FG team for efficiency. The quality of the installation/fitting team was also just as superb. Great guys, very accommodating and an obvious high level of skill. We went for the Charnwood C5 stove and couldn't be happier with how its all turned out and how stress free the whole process was from start to finish, the stove works perfectly.
