Green Business Roundup — 22 October 2026
Solar at Warburtons, Haldane Fisher and A R Manley, Energy Gain’s Manchester projects, and recognition for an air-ambulance installation.
A 1.252 MWp bakery solar installation leads this edition’s five company-news stories, alongside commercial projects in Belfast, Greater Manchester and a workshop, plus recognition for an air-ambulance installation. The announcements were published between 5 and 16 October; they describe delivered work and an award result, rather than five projects all completed this week.
1. Noble Green Energy reports 1.252 MWp solar at Warburtons
Noble Green Energy’s 5 October case study of Warburtons’ Wednesbury bakery describes a completed 1.252 MWp rooftop solar installation. The array works alongside the site’s existing 1 MW combined heat and power plant, serving a bakery that operates around the clock. The case study puts estimated annual solar generation at 1.11 GWh; this is a projection, rather than a measured annual result.
2. Encom Energy completes 75kWp Belfast installation
Encom Energy says its 75kWp solar PV installation at Haldane Fisher’s Ladas Drive site in Belfast is complete and live. Its 14 October project report describes a 164-panel system and projects approximately £10,700 in first-year electricity-cost savings. That saving is forecast, rather than a measured first-year outcome.
3. Energy Gain documents Greater Manchester solar delivery
Energy Gain’s 15 October review of commercial solar projects across Greater Manchester describes delivered installations for automotive, engineering and manufacturing businesses. Named customers include BMW Williams, SG Instruments and Kratos Analytical. It is an overview of the company’s regional project work; the publication date does not mean every installation was completed in October.
4. Eden Power installs workshop solar for A R Manley
Eden Power says it partnered with A R Manley to install a solar system at the company’s workshop. The 6 October workshop case study specifies 20 solar panels and a 10kW three-phase inverter. It describes on-site electricity generation alongside the customer’s existing biomass heating and recycling initiatives, without supplying measured electricity savings.
5. Power Different reports second place for air-ambulance solar
Power Different reports that the East Anglian Air Ambulance solar project took second place in the National Solar PV Project of the Year category at the 2026 National Energy Efficiency Awards, held on 9 October. Its 16 October announcement of the award result identifies the project at Norwich Airport, designed and installed by Power Different. This is a second-place result, following the earlier shortlist announcement.
