I had solar panels installed in may/June 2025. At the time of purchase they talked me through the ability to sell energy back to the grid. After the installation I completed the paperwork with Eon to make this happen and was told that the export request had not been raised. I have emailed SE a number of times to ask me to sort this out, but no response. I have now contacted National Grid directly and trying to resolve the issue. I feel we were misled during the purchase process. We may have though twice about putting solar panels in if we had known we were not allowed to export.
We had solar panels and battery storage installed by Stratford Energy. The installation was extremely professional and tidy, the installers were friendly and made a couple of changes whilst onsite as requested.Definitely recommend

Stratford Energy SolutionsThe customer service was excellent, Georgia answered all my questions regarding the SunPower PV panels and advised on choice of inverters, following up with an invitation to look round their showroom to see the products and consider the specifications of each product and their efficiency. On the day of installation, the fitters were punctual and arrived at 08:00am and were also very knowledgeable. The work was completed in a day, there was no mess and the system worked first time. Chloe who provided follow up support by emailing warranty certificate insurance cover and invoices was also very efficient in her diligence to all my requests. I have no hesitation in recommending them.
