Very helpful and professional service from start to finish in installing solar panels and battery. The electricians, the solar panel installers and the office were patient and provided all the information we needed throughout the process to make the decisions we needed to.

The installation, we had wasn't straight forward, we had to have our solar panels installed first and then later we got the battery installed and it all connected together. The installation team worked well and then when we got the battery installed, the engineers worked well and this is where we found out that we had a bad signal and we didnt know we would need a good internet signal, which was an issue as the battery had trouble connecting to the phone, we had issues getting this connected as the Tesla battery didnt connect straight away, but solar star power sent an engineer out to sort this which we really appreciated as most companies would try to do this over the phone. we are now connected and happy with the installation, the one issue we have which is not an issue with Solar Star Power is the Tesla App is very restrictive we tried to add another log in and tried to reset our password, when we tried to do this the tesla app asked for letters and numbers as part of security, but wouldn't allow us to change the keyboard settings to put in any numbers. I would recommend Solar Star Power to anyone.

This was our second install from solar star as we increased our number of solar panels.The installation was fault free, the staff were efficient and helpful from administration to the scaffolders, the electrician explained thoroughly what the battery was doing and how we had to understand it.

Professional installation which was quick & easy - only negative was not being told in advance that all the paperwork from various different bodies would take 3/4 weeks to arrive before I could apply for the SEG scheme

We recently had a PW3, myenergi zappi, eddi and 16 Aiko All Black 460W panels fitted, including a combination of black bird mesh and SolaSkirt. At a previous house we had solar installed in 2011, so had some experience already. Over the last few years we discussed options with a small number of larger installers and often encountered long lead times to even get an outline quote. The experience with Solar Star Power was refreshingly different. My email enquiry was responded to promptly and my many following questions all answered promptly with emails and calls. I did not get a generic quotation pack sent to me, which is different from the other companies, but this did leave me wondering about various points. All my questions did get answers, either by emails or in the post installation “commissioning pack”. SSP dealt with all the G99 application process and chased it regularly. From initial email to installation was just over five weeks, including all the waiting for the G99 approval to install. The installation took just two days, with a roofing team of five on the first day and two on the second to do the SolaSkirt / bird mesh, plus two electricians on each day. I am an electrical engineer and we have had to have the roof on our house replaced a few years ago, so I am not the easiest customer! Both teams were professional and friendly. Always taking time to agree with me exactly how I wanted the work done and equipment laid out. They were also very tidy. The office based team members were excellent, always responsive and thorough. Before we agreed to the basic quote in the email, we visited another customer that kindly agreed to show us the quality of SSP’s installation. Since our system has been installed a number of neighbours have commented that they’ve never seen such a tidy and unobtrusive solar panel installation. The SolaSkirt edging product certainly makes it look more like inbuilt panels. We have already recommended Solar Star Power to three neighbours and will happily continue to recommend the company.

We had a Zappi car charger fitted in our new build. From start to finish the process has been informative and helpful. Installation was done efficiently and James made sure we understood the system. Not only did he fit the car charger but also rectified an existing error in our new build solar power generation we would never noticed. Went above and beyond thank you.

Solar Star are Super Stars!! The whole team from initial enquiry to install couldn’t have been more helpful! Kelly is a gem. Install of 15 panels and Powerwall 3 done in 4 hours. We’re amazed and already reaping the benefits. Final piece to our green home done.

I had 21 Aiko solar panels and a Tesla Powerwall 3 installed in December 2024. Solar Star Power did a great job installing - the whole system was installed in about 4 or 5 hours! I received the MCS certificate and DNO G99 approval paperwork very promptly - the day after installation. Very pleased with their service.I thought I'd hold off writing a review until the weather started to improve and we actually got some sun. During March the system performed well beyond my expectations - generating almost 800kWh, and more than covering my usage. Octopus recently enabled Intelligent Flux for Powerwall, which is a great tariff as you get paid the same rate for export as import!I'd definitely recommend both Solar Star Power and the system I've had installed.

Just had our new solar panels fitted by Solar Star.Made a really nice job of it - some neat work!And the Tesla battery is something else.We are a cricket club & this saving on our electricity bill is vital.And a Tesla app on the phone to know what is going on & what we are producing in real time.The installation team were great & Mark who was our initial contact explained everything perfectly & held our hand through the whole project.Anyone wants to come & look at our system (if it helps them) give us a call & we will arrange.

Great from start to finish, quick, efficient and very helpful. The electricians took time to explain everything and helped with the ownload and set up of the various apps to manage the battery etc.The panels were installed quickly and without fuss, the scaffold was up and down within the day and without any mess. The whole team of workers were engaging, friendly and helpful throughout. I javd happily recommended hhem to neighbours and friends alike.
