Amazing sales pitch, terrible customer service!!!There’s a leak in my roof going for months now! I’ve contacted their callbacks service and their engineers visited me once to “solve” the issue. Before they left, I told them that the issue wasn’t solved and on the call with their representative I’ve also said that the issue wasn’t solved!!!! We had a dry period, with no rain, and obviously no water coming in through the roof, now that it’s raining again, water is literally pouring in through the roof!!!I’ve contacted them over 2 weeks ago, when I spotted the issue was still going and I was told they were going to contact their engineers and book me in within 5 working days. I had NO RETURN from ANY of my several calls during this period and always been told they were going to contact their engineers and book me in. What the hell is going on???? The beams and the rafters in my roof are rotting down as I’ve shown in the videos and pictures I’ve sent you!!! There’s water coming through the ceiling indoors!!!!

Friendly and approachable staff. Good response times to queries. Fast and efficient service. Mine was a bit more complex and they needed to come out a couple of times to complete but all helpful and put things back the way they were.

Solarfast booked an installation date of 23/4/25 for the assembly of solar panels, iboost, battery and ev charger. Their installers phoned the day before and indicated that they were in the area and would like to start at lunch time a day early. Unfortunately the scaffolders only arrived a couple of hours before Solarfast and had not completed their work when Solarfast arrived. This didn't compromise the installation which to my surprise was completed before the end of the day and even before the scaffolders had finished! Solarfast certainly lived up to their name.One of the installers gave a clear description of the use of the iBoost, but little information was provided on the EV charger and for its use we relied on the internet. Overall we were pleased how well the day went and extremely satisfied with the system and its ability to reduce energy bills. Solarfast was very helpful in setting up the complex process of energy export to grid.Our only gripe with the process was with the scaffolders who cancelled the removal date on three occasions meaning that the scaffolding remained at our property over two weeks after the installation had been completed.

I found the technical support in design excellent, particularly compared to the experience I had with others previously.The installation team did exactly what they said when they said they would which was similarly excellent compared to my general experience with this sector.The sales team were proactive and kept me informed about progress at about the level I wanted ie they didn't bug me with too many calls or try and upsell.One area that you might want to focus on is better explaining what happens after installation and how you get sorted for grid export. I didn't know for example that the technology that was specified would not work with my supplier (Octopus) on the intelligent flex tariff that would best suit my circumstances. I also didn't know how long it would take to get the tariffs sorted and get paid for export after installation.

i was kept informed all the way through the process we had open discussions about the installation as it progressed the fitters were very professional. the systen now installed works great offering me a good percentage of my daily use and some feed in it was initially a lot of money but i feel very worth it

Solarfast made the whole process of getting a solar system installed very easy, from the initial survey to final installation and use. They were easily contactable for any questions I had and were quick to resolve any technical issues. There was a delay in being able to export excess generated electricity back to the grid, though I believe this was more to do with my own energy supplier causing a holdup. I was initially unable to export to the grid but the problem was solved within hours by Solarfast's technical department, diagnosing the problem and carrying out an inverter software upgrade, all remotely, with just one phone call. I cannot fault Solarfast, with the professional way the solar system was planned and installed, the ease of accessing their staff who were able to answer any questions I had and the rapid response to the only technical issue that occurred. Also they followed up, shortly after the works were completed and also a few months later, to make sure everything was going well, if there were any problems and to answer any more questions that I may have had. Overall, I am very happy with the service I have received, and would highly recommend Solarfast to anyone thinking of having solar panels installed.

I initially had a quote from one of the Big 6 Energy Companies for Solar Panels, but always get 2 or 3 quotes for any big investments.I was really surprised by the Quote I received from Solar Fast, They were providing more solar panels, a larger capacity battery and converter for a much cheaper price, saving me almost £3000. Because they were aligned with Wickes, I felt more at ease with doing business.The install date was set a 12 weeks from the initial purchase agreement. 4 days before the installation of the solar panels, the scaffolding was errected. The guys just came one morning errected the scaffolding and left while i was at work, no need to be at home.The 2 man team who came to install the Solar Panels were really friendly and did a fantastic job. No mess, all cabling hidden out of sight and job completed in around 6 hours, with the battery and inverter installed in the garage where i wanted it.Within 2 weeks of my installation, I am now signed up to the SEG with my power provider and will now be paid for any excess electricity I export to the grid.I'm really happy with the experience I have had with Solar Fast from the initial contact to the aftersales team. Highly recommended.

Had a problem trying to change the settings for the batteries and the technical team resolved it all for me remotely very quickly. It was very impressive how quickly they responded and actioned. Great customer service. Thank you!

Couldn’t recommend Solar Fast enough, they have been fantastic throughout my installation. From the initial enquiry and quote, they were helpful without being pushy. Once the order was confirmed on Monday, the scaffolding was erected on Friday, the installation done on the following Monday (Bank Holiday) and scaffolding taken down 5 days later. The installation guys were polite and courteous and fully explained through out. The call centre called and checked everything was as expected numerous times and explained the paperwork and certification. Highly recommend

From start to finish Andrew was informative help and answer all my questions. Tyson and the install team kept us informed all the way making sure the left my house clean and tidy.

All the information was explained thoroughly straight from the get go. Once we said yes the ball got rolling very quickly, we got a installation 2 weeks from our initial yes. Scaffolding went up while we were at work a day before the installation team. Once it was all up and running we got all our documentation a few days later. I asked a few follow up questions about what was needed for the SEG which was answered very quickly. Great experience. See more

Solar Fast fitted 12 solar panels with battery and inverter. A survey was carried out first and everything was explained as we went along. Scaffolding was put up, and three days later they came to do the solar panels etc. They arrived at 10am and finished the work by 4pm. They were punctual, polite and efficient. Solarfast 8 panels, inverter and 2 X batteries bought and fitted. Wickes- Elliot was superb explaining all the details from fitting to the financial estimates. Then Solarfast took my order and everything went quickly and seamlessly. Very professional. Scaffolders and fitters were top quality and very friendly. Staff at Solarfast are contactable and approachable people. I have rang with a few dumb questions as it's all new to me and they have been first class with me, good sense of humour too. Slight alteration to the settings was carried out remotely and again very quickly. All paperwork required for the best deal with yr supplier is sent in a tidy package and made the switch to the best SEG tariff (which is a bit complicated) as easy as possible. One slight issue is the sun has gone in since fitting, so if they could arrange for it to come back I will leave 6 stars!Thank you.

The whole process was quick efficient and of the highest quality. It was so simple and the company kept us informed throughout. The initial discussion was informative and they were able to answer every question we had. They managed everything from start to finish. The guys fitting the panels worked solidly throughout the day, they were polite courteous and nothing was too much trouble. I have been holding off leaving this review to see how the panels performed over a whole year and to see if my initial concerns were valid. It has now been 11 months with the panels. To cut a long story short - the estimated 30-year savings we were presented were extremely misrepresented and we may never make our money back.Pros: Solar Fast were very friendly and the installation and timescales of getting everything up and running were pretty good (although I have nothing to compare it to).Cons: As typical for salesmen, we were offered a one-time deal that required a decision there and then. The pitch that was given was that we would make our money back by in circa 15years and at year 30 have a +100% return on investment. Pretty good.This was based on us using 90% of the energy generated and exporting the rest. In reality, we are only using 20% and exporting the majority. This is simply due to us having an electric shower and a small battery. Most electric showers have a wattage of 8-10kW which far exceeds the capacity of all our panels (even at midday) and discharge rate of our battery, leaving us no choice but to pull from the grid every day. The salesman knew our set up and I feel should have known the estimated figures presented would be very inaccurate.I worked this out within a few weeks and raised my concerns with SF, who never really gave me a proper explanation and reassured me that it should not make a big difference. It makes a huge difference, as their calculations heavily rely on energy prices going up but as we can only harness 20% of the solar production due to having an electric shower and a small battery, we rely massively on EXPORT tariffs. There is zero guarantee SEG rates will increase, or even continue to pay for export in 20-30 years. This was not explained to us.In short, it is likely we may never even make our money back in 30 years, let alone have any return in investment. Seeing as we were heavily pitched this as a better investment than putting £14k away in savings (which could easily double in 20 years) we feel very misled.I feel good about having panels in terms of increasing the UK's renewable energy and relying less on the grid, however, unfortunately I have to accept that this was a very bad financial decision. We now have to look into installing a hot water tank and replace our showers (adding more cost) to see if this can help reduce the large amount we are still importing from the grid every day.

We were very impressed with all aspects of Solarfast's service, from the sales pitch on Zoom to all correspondence to the installation. The fitting went very smoothly and efficiently, and the system works exactly as expected.

Solar Fast are fast and reliable. They completed a survey remotely and fitted my solar panels, battery and inverter as committed and everything is working well. Their remote survey was impressive, concluding I could fit 14 panels whereas a previous company had suggested only 6. Everyone I dealt with was helpful and friendly. The only wrinkle was the scaffolding which is done by a separate company commissioned by Solar Fast and was scheduled to be done the day before the panels were to be fitted. However, when the panel fitters arrived, they concluded the scaffolding wasn't safe for use in any of the areas where they were going to be working, which resulted in a delay of 9 days while we waited for the scaffolders to return and sort the issues. Obviously, this wasn't down to Solar Fast directly, but my generally excellent experience of their service was somewhat undermined by the shortcomings of the scaffolding company they used in my case.

The survey and communication before the purchase were clear and concise. The fitters were very professional, neat and tidy. The solar panels, cable routing, batteries and inverter were all laid and positioned perfectly. The "Tradepro" discount was a real bonus.

We have had a great experience with Solar Fast from the initial conversation with Matthew who gave good advice about solar panels and storage batteries. We had a few conversations and he was easy to deal with, the next part of the process we dealt with amber about the various paperwork that goes with solar panels, she also organised scaffolding and installation of the panels which was a very smooth process.The bast part of the process, was the two guys who turned up to install the panels and batteries, Chris and Max were a great team, they had great knowledge and advice for panel layout and where to put the batteries etc, they were polite and the workmanship was really good, everything was left clean and tidy once they had finished, they had a long day and didnt finish the installation until 9pm, even then they helped set up the relevant app and offered advice on how to use it before they left for their next job the following day.We have found dealing with all of the people that we have dealt with at Solar Fast a really easy straightforward experience.
