Friendly and competent installer. Can't fault the installation. As an electrical engineer, I was very specific about where I wanted the charger fitted and how the cable was to be run and none of this was a problem on the day.Ohme charger. I was happy with the whole process. The self survey is pretty comprehensive but could be tricky to fill in for some less technical persons, but there is an option to have a physical survey carried out.

Very quickly contacted us to advise of installation date and kept to the time and date with no issues.The electrician couldn't have been any nicer. Very pleasant and informative and made no mess whatsoever 10 out of 10

The process from when we ordered through Ohme to have contact with Smarter Utility was very slow. It wasn’t until I chased up the installation, that we were able to book a date for fitting. On the day, we were told we would be contacted ahead of the engineer arriving which did not happen. I then had to phone to find out if he was still coming. When the engineer did finally arrive, he was not the most helpful or friendly and we ended up having the apps to support the charger set up wrong. We came to charger for the first time we had uninstall the apps, and redo it ourselves. The whole process was unnecessarily difficult. It’s unfortunate as I’m not one to write reviews, let alone negative ones however I wanted to share our experience so others don’t receive the same.

The installation was fine but the app is rather annoying. The car charging is managed by Octopus but the Ohme app doesn’t seem to understand that and keeps sending messages that the car is not charging.

The poor communication and lack of attention to customer needs put me off. When I finally obtained a date for installation ( only after going to OHME) everything went ok and the subbie who installed the charger was good. However I expect a quicker response and better communication for what was a simple installation

Very good communication throughout the process, with quick installation date scheduled, and in fact accelerated.Installation process was quick and straightforward, with good communication and demonstration of the system from the friendly installer.Highly recommend!

The engineer who installed ours did a great job. He took the time to run the cable so that it was well concealed and not visible from the front of our house. Very happy with the job done. Turned up when they said they would and did a great install.

From booking my charger from Ohme to Smarter Utility contacting me was really quick, I arranged an installation date and Engineer turned up on time on the day.He went over the installation process before he started and was quick and efficient after he completed work he went over everything with me thanks again Kieran for a hassle free install

I had an OHME Home Pro charger installed via the Cupra promotion. I believe the work was carried out by a local subcontractor, work was carried out to a high standard with minimal disruption. Installer was friendly and knowledgeable.

The installation of my Home Ohme E pod Smart charger was completed by the Smarter Utility engineer Matt in accordance with our requirements and in line with the specification given by Ohme.The work was undertaken on time in a competent manner.Options for routing the wiring and siting the charger to best suit our house layout were discussed and implemented.Matt worked within the timescale given, commissioned the charger properly and left a clean worksite.

Home survey and installation were very good.Same installation engineer did both.Very professional and very helpful at explaining everything.Did a great job.Neat and tidy and no fuss about anything.

SMARTER UTILITIES IS THE LAST PART OF A CIRCUITOUS JOURNEY THROUGH OTHER AGENCIES WHILE FAULTS ARE AGREED TO EXIST, THE NATURE OF THE FAULT DEFINED AND THEN REPAIR INITIATED. LAST FAULT HAD US OFF LINE FOR A 5 WEEKS BUT SMARTER UTILITIES HAD IT THEN SORTED IN THE FINAL WEEK !THE PRIOR LENGTH OF CHAIN NEEDS TO BE SHORTENED!SMARTER UTILITIES SHOULD BE COMMENDED !

Fast and efficient service .House survey was easy no hassle and went above and beyond to find the easiest most unobtrusive route that i actually didn't think they would take as under the house in small crawl space.The day they came phoned me before arrival , did the job as explained , positioned charger where discussed .Clean and tidy no fuss and so much smoother than i have heard colleagues have had with other companies .Would recommend and use again.

When Storm Eowyn knocked out our two year old solar power system, our installer was worse than useless and we eventually had to look elsewhere for help. We found Smarter Utility on Check-a-Trade and initially they were very helpful. Then we requested an appointment for the engineer to call & they went quiet. After a few days, I contacted them through their own website & it turned out that they had had a problem with logging into Check-a-Trade, and of course didn't have direct contact details for us. As soon as we got in touch they sent David out & the issue was fixed in ten minutes. He charged us only for his transport and the system has been running perfectly since. Definitely recommend them, but contact them by email or phone, not through Check-a-Trade!

We had our charger installation completed today on schedule. Communication beforehand was good and we were given exactly the charger location and wiring layout that we requested.The installer Stuart was excellent. Friendly, efficient and installed everything neatly and quickly. Work was completed the same day and the house, garage and driveway were all left clean and tidy.I would happily recommend Smarter Utility to friends and family.

Kieran was out fitting our charger this morning, lovely guy & super efficient, had it fitted in no time & cleaned up everything once he was done. Really took time to make sure the trunking didn't look out of place & it’s hardly noticeable at all. Explained everything.100% recommended

Well lead through the process of arranging installation which helped things run smoothly on the day. Engineer who carried out the installation was professional and efficient.

I got an electric charger installed at my home, the project was extremely well coordinated, I was kept updated as and when required. Anything I was asked to do was laid out in such a way that was even easy for me to understand. The day of the installation, the electrician made himself known, gave me an overview of what work he was doing, everything was installed professionally, there was no mess and the work was neatly done, great job.

Engineer came when stated, charger installed where we wanted and pleasant workman.

The installer turned up on time as per booking arrangement.Friendly, listened to how and where I would like the unit placed. Installed as per instruction, cleaned worksite after and took time to explain how unit worked.

I didn't see what the EV charger was going to look like and was not very happy with the look of it after it was installed. If I had seen how messy to was going to be I would have reconsidered, type or location. The installer left quit a bit of mess after the install which I was left to tidy up

I can only say that in my case the person who installed my charger was efficient and worked with me to adhere to the landlords rules and regulations, the installer certainly listened to my suggestions for keeping cables hidden within the building.There was only one thing I was not happy with, that he had to cut 2 holes in the interior for the cable to come down the cavity and one hole was not finished off at all well, he said he did not have any plaster to finish off, although I said it was O.K I was disappointed because I had to finish it off myself, still overall I was quite happy with the installation

The engineer who came to install was great. The company 'Smarter Utility' were terrible. We had to wait a really long time to get an appointment, this was then cancelled at short notice and rescheduled for 6 weeks later. The engineer who came out installed the wrong charger as his job sheet was wrong. He said they would come back and replace it asap. When I phoned the company to get a date for a replacement, they would only offer one in 6 weeks, and we're generally quite rude and unprofessional.See more

Avoid for EV chargers at all costs!! Initially they seemed great, good communication and sounded like they knew what they were doing. Had an install done, loads of corners cut, including fitting second hand breakers, dodgy earthing, not using conduit, poor termination of wires etc. They didn't notify the DNO, the installation didn't meet the standards and was dangerous. It was condemned by my electrician when he saw it. Smarter Utility refused to do anything, in the end the charger company forced their hand to solve the issue. I hate to think how many poor installs they've done around the country. Awful experience.See more

EV Indra home charger fitting was organised by ChargedEV but work undertaken by Smarter Utility Ltd and what an excellent job was made. Very professional, no fuss neat installation with everything explained and app set up on iPhone. Very pleased.See more
