Due to this and some other problems I asked Dwain to cancel my order. Dwain took a while to sort things out to refund my deposit but he was an absolute gentleman about it and finally refunded the full deposit.I have to add that my daughter, who lives in Leeds, got a lot of work done from Dwain including underfloor heating and Marvel did a great job there. But with my contract, unfortunately things didn't transpire as expected.Perhaps it was the low price of the full contract which hindered the completion at my house.At any rate, I wish Dwain and marvel a best of future.

The whole experience started professionally and in a nice atmosphere. The salesman visited my home and we had a nice conversation about all possibilities and the full process of installation of a heat pump. After agreement was reached, all went smoothly (contract signing, technical inspection, heat loss inspection/calculation) until the installation date. I would like to note that it has been mentioned during all visits and agreed that I do not accept subcontractors to install a heat pump (my previous experience), and that the gas boiler will be disconnected at the end of installation to keep heating and hot water. Installers came early in the morning and had no idea what needed to be done and what had been agreed upon. Unfortunately, after walking around, the first thing they would like to do was to remove the boiler. As I disagreed with this, the installation team collected all the tools and disappeared within a few minutes, making impolite comments, before I even had a chance to contact the office. Later, I had to spend lots of time and contact the company numerous times to arrange a new installation time. The new installation team, this time employees of the company, came on time and from the beginning showed a professional approach to the client. Discussed all stages of the installation process. The job was done to high standards, including final commissioning of the system. I hoped it was over, but it wasn't yet. My garage was left with garbage after installation, and documentation, including warranties, was not provided. Again, I had to call several times and spend a lot of time arranging this. I was even called awkward by one of the managers for expecting that everything promised in the contract is going to be fulfilled.Summarizing, the systems offered by the company are very nice, but you have to be strict to have what you agree on and, most importantly, for what you pay for.

Can not fault this company from the time we had a consultation with Nigel down to the brilliant plumbing team from Torne valley plumbing to the amazing electrian who all worked on getting the system up and running. They contractors were absolutely fabulous polite courteous amazing at cleaning up after themselves. Would highly recommend this company and their contractors

From the start of our journey of thinking about and then starting the procedure to having the Heat Pump now up and running, it has been fantastic. From the engineers to the guys who cleared the waste, I cannot say enough about how polite and friendly they all were. Thank you, Marvel, for your advice and ongoing support.

My experience with Marvel is due to them installing an air source heat pump at my address. My experience got off to a good start, with them being the second company (of five I'd contacted regarding a heat pump) to get back in touch with me. I spoke with someone on the phone who was very thorough and very knowledgeable, answering all my questions in a straightforward way. I have not at any stage of my experience with Marvel felt like I'd been given a roundabout answer. The individual on the phone understood all my prior concerns regarding the ASHP, and answered everything to the best of their ability. The phone call concluded with me being booked in for a visit from a salesman for Marvel.The day arrived and the salesman, Kev, got in touch with an ETA and arrived at the time he stated. Kev was a great guy, he shook my hand at the door and introduced himself, asked whether he should take his shoes off and was happy to do so. Before the consult officially started my son (8yo) came down to have a nosey, and Kev was brilliant with him - explaining something to me first, then explaining it to my son in a way he understood better (lots of exaggerating as is expected with an 8yo!!). I felt this was something Kev did not need to do, but it meant so much that he took the time to do that. We also had my 10mo daughter crawling around and Kev cooed her and was trying to encourage a wave from her. He was absolutely fantastic with the kids. My fiancée was in bed asleep at this point after a night with our daughter, and Kev was extremely respectful of this, spoke in a whisper while we were upstairs discussing the location of the equipment so as to not wake her.As for the content of the consult itself, Kev was extremely thorough and the phrase "left no stone unturned" fits perfectly. Any and all questions I did or could have had were answered at length in a way I understood, and Kev was happy to reiterate the occasional thing I didn't quite grasp the first time. The consult took all in all about 90mins and Kev looked outside, both floors of the house, and in the loft during his visit. He took this time to walk me through all the options and benefits to working with Marvel for the works, and walked me through the next steps should I choose to move forward. The next stage was for an independent surveyor to come and, well, survey the house. I'll not dwell too much on this as they're totally unrelated to Marvel Heating. Following that, a member of Marvels workforce, Michael, (at this point I have unfortunately forgotten his discipline, Plumber, Electrician etc.) came to assess the house and take necessary photos and measurements. Michael was the second member of Marvels team that we directly spoke to, and he was polite and professional, and again had answers to any of our questions. The stage that followed was Kev returning, with drawn up plans in hand, to go through the final walk through before install and booked a date for installation. The plans were all given to myself after being explained in detail by Kev who, once again, answered any questions we had. A very very minor hiccup happened but was due to poor planning on Northern Powergrid's behalf, and that was that we didn't know the blokes from Marvel were coming to install the ASHP as I was told by NPG that they needed to do a survey first. I hadn't cleared the loft or airing cupboard yet and so they agreed to come back the following day. They did as they said and got to work. The plumbers came on the first day and worked really quickly, having removed all the existing plumbing for hot water and central heating within the first two hours. The plumbing job started at 0730 and finished at around 1730, the two plumbers cleaned up everything after themselves, leaving only the carpet protector in place for the electrician visiting the next day. We didn't see much of the plumbers due to them having so much work to get on with and us trying to stay clear of them to not get in the way, but whenever we did see them they were very friendly and professional. The plumbing work itself is neat, clean, and exactly as detailed in the drawn up plans. The electrician, Adam, came the following day to wire the heat pump up, and installed a separate fuse for the ASHP. He was very professional, spoke to us through each stage of his work and maintained complete openness with us and what was happening. He gave us plenty of warning as to when we would be without electrics. Again, the finished electrical work is very neatly done and Adam himself went above and beyond for us, doing work we wouldn't have expected from an electrician. He also cleaned up after himself. The aftercare provided by Marvel is second to none. Emails the following week with an information pack full of contact numbers, a phone call from Dwain (the Boss) and a Courtesy email.I simply cannot recommend Marvel enough.

The surveys and installation were spot on and I can't knock them but unfortunately the communication from the office lacks a little. My original installation date was cancelled due to sickness within the installation team and I was told they would ring back with a new date. A week went by and no new date so I rang them to see what the situation was. Again I was promised a call before 4pm and again no call! Another week went by and I ended up phoning again, this time I was given a date a week later. Why wasn't I offered this in the 1st place and why should i have to chase them up all the time. Products seems fine and installation good but just let down by poor communication hence 4 stars.

Our journey with Marvel has been an excellent one, headed by Dwain and his team. It started with a visit from Ian, the salesman who guided us with his expert knowledge, through the many aspects of changing to an air source heat pump. Ian, the heating engineer and his team Morgan and Ellis were amazing, they worked speedily, efficiently and left the areas very tidy. Adam the electrician did the final connecting and switch on, again, very efficiently, most informative and quick. The system up and running for a couple of weeks now, no problems at all. Well done Marvel.

After some initial problems all are now sorted and am extremely happy with the installation. All credit to Dwain and his employees for a very professional attitude in making certain all is working OK Dwain actually went the extra mile to make certain we are 💯 %, content. Great service Marvel

Excellent experience good information at every stage workmen very happy chaps which makes for a enjoyable couple of days would recommend marvel to anybody looking for a heat pump or solar panels well done all round

Having our heat pump fitted has been simple from beginning to end. The fitters have been professional and tidy and worked hard to make sure everything is working as it should be. I had enquired with other companies and was let down twice, so I wish I had heard of this company earlier and would recommend. The pump runs efficiently and is quiet- best money I have spent on my journey to making my house more environmentally friendly. The pump will definitely pay for it self as I have seen my bills reduce significantly in a short space of time. Brian and Anne

The heat pump has been in for a month now and is working well, with a nice ambient temperature in the house and lots of hot water. The sales and survey appointments happened as planned and the work was completed on time. The process was managed smoothly and I am happy with the result. My only criticism concerns the finishing off - the pipes to outside were left without foam to fill the gaps and without a cover so someone had to come out a week later to make it good. He managed to drop splodges of foam on the fan unit outside so it is now stained with yellow.

We had a heat pump and solar panels installed at the beginning of this month. From the start, the service from Marvel was exemplary. We had a meeting initially to explain all the aspects of the installation. The people who did the installation - over only three days - were polite, friendly and professional. The quality of the workmanship is extremely high and we are very happy with everything.

They pay £500 for a positive review after installation. I was offered this by one of their salesman, Ian Ronson today. Crooks! p.s. I'd be happy to remove this review if you transfer the £500. I can send you bank details if you agree 🤣

Heatpump successWeek 3 after the installation and ‘happy wife is a happy life’ 👌.All elements went well with excellent pre-sales advice, survey and quality install. Within 12 hours the house was toasty, plenty of hot water and 24/7 heat adjusting for weather temperature change. Replacing an old inefficient gas boiler, running costs as expected and combined with existing solar and battery, look forward to a consistent low running cost irrespective of future energy prices.I have given Marvel feedback on minor improvements mostly to do with communication otherwise I would give 5*.I would recommend including Marvel as one of your quoted installers. Price isn’t everything quality of install is !

Had 8 solar panels installed on roof. Installation guys are great. Wish I could say the same for the office. Will not ring you back, had to constantly chase to get a response. They let themselves down on this, shame!

Disappointing experience with this company. Positive initial assessment of my house re heat pumps, but then survey result showed the property (which is large) could not be heated unless expensive modifications were made to electricity supply. I had no objection to paying £200 for a full survey but do object to not being shown or given a copy of this survey for reference, and follow up messages to the company being ignored.

Pleasant surprise our heat pump has worked very well all winter it seems to be a good investment so far. I am now understand how my house can be one temperature throughout the day and its quite cosy to be fair. I had a few issues learning to use the controls but Dwayne has been very helpful in guiding me up to speed. Thanks Guys

We had our heat pump installed by Marvel just over a week ago now and we are very happy with how the process has gone. The consultation was informative with no pressure to give an order. The walkthrough prior to installation was carried out by experienced heat pump installers who explained the plan and issued a written schedule of works, which we found very helpful. The installation team were pleasant guys who worked quickly, left no mess and did a neat job. Heat pump now working away doing its job, very pleased with how things went.See more
