Much like the other reviews here things went from bad to shocking and we're stuck out of pocket. First, the initial call to run through the recommended kit was cancelled last minute on multiple occasions. Then when the fusion 8 team were finally able to attend the service rep was flustered, lacked sufficient knowledge to answer our questions and cut us off to go on another call. Our request for a follow up call was ignored. Once we'd done our own research we decided to proceed with the quote anyway. The survey was then performed without issue, and a deposit requested from us that required a bank transfer for 25% of the overall cost. No credit card option was provided. This was in early January. Then radio silence for 8 weeks. We eventually asked for an update and were told (March) that things were proceeding according to plan.Further silence. A month later (April) we received an email from Solar together to say the HIES accreditation had been withdrawn and not to proceed with fusion 8, followed shortly after by an email from fusion 8 to say this was an "administrative error" and all was well. After a few days another email from Solar together reiterated not to go ahead with fusion 8 and to request a refund of deposit from them. I called solar together to discuss and was told fusion 8 did not have HIES backing for deposits and we should not proceed with them. I tried contacting fusion 8 to get further information but the phone lines had been switched off and there was no reply to email. We followed up with another email (end of April) to formally cancel our installation and request our deposit back and received no confirmation. In early May we received general comms to say they were experiencing issues processing refund, couldn't provide a timeline, will provide an update but won't respond to emails (!)A week later another general email to say they were calling everyone individually and would leave a message if their call was missed. No call came through, no voicemail received. Now in late may another comms to say because fusion 8 is unable to carry out the install they've arranged with another installer from Oxford to complete the work.In the meantime we've engaged with another installer recommended by solar together who progressed from first contact through survey and installation in 3 weeks. Nightmare communication, conflicting statements and some bold faced lies. Avoid!

Awful company. Would give zero if I could. Paid them £1200 deposit for solar panels and batteries in December 2024. It took months of chasing to finally get an installation date, only for the contract to be cancelled. They had not completed a registration under a deposit refund scheme and the scheme also advised that even if it had been completed, I did not qualify as the scheme is only paid for claims within 120 days of the deposit being paid.I communicated with Fusion-8 by email, telephone and registered letter in an attempt to get my deposit refunded. After initially saying they would pay, they then said their were 'issues' preventing them from paying. Their telephone lines were then cut off. The last communication from them said they would ring all affected customers within two weeks. Not heard from them since.Cowboys. Don't go near them.

Damage to roof that they denied they had anything to do with. Not able to get the receipt in the names required for the payments from the grid that is required for our energy supplier and the fitting diagrams this has been going on for nearly 2 years. I send emails and the person picking up promises the world and we get nothing back. I have now threatened them with court action.

Need some maintenance but their phone is disconnected, chat doesn't work and email is not answered. Speaks for itself - don't use them

I used Fusion8 as part of the Hampshire Solar Together scheme and was originally concerned about the feedback that I saw on this site. I did call up Fusion8 and expressed my concerns and talked the the MD Tony, who seemed to be very reasonable and convinced me that they could do a good job and he was indeed right. It did take a little while to get things going and the back office did have a couple of crossed wires but once we had the survey completed it was great. Things happened very quickly & smoothly. The scaffolding turned up when planned, the electrician and roofing team turned up exactly on schedule and did a very neat job and the scaffolding was taken down as scheduled a short time after. The Solar panels & battery system is fantastic. After the install we had a small issue with the CT cable that got sorted out quite promptly. The levels of power generation now are really quite impressive. We received all of the complete documentation set a few days after the invoice was settled.Very happy with the final product & service.

Feel Sorry for everyone who is dealing with this terrible company. I pulled out in early April and got my money back only after complaining through my bank. The company’s name came up on Santander website and I assumed they must be good without further research, which turned out to be bad move. My first contact with Fusion8 was in July 2024. Initial consultation seemed fine and I paid a deposit of nearly £4000 soon after. Everything else following that was terrible, no contact after repeated attempts to contact them via email and phone. They didn’t apply for DNO until December 2024 and kept lying about it. Further disappointment ensued with no installation date until April 2025 that was cancelled at the last minute. After 9 months of frustration and appalling service, finally got my money back after raising a complaint through my bank. Their MD sent several nasty and threatening emails. I have contacted trading standards also.

Adding myself to so many disgruntled customers before me. All appear similarly affected. In my case slow progress from the start. I currently have scaffolding up in two locations. Fusion8 provided incorrect location to main scaffolding company. One month passes and a sub contracted scaffolding company arrives to place scaffolding in the correct location. Not interested in removing original scaffolding as not theirs. So now I have two lots to negotiate around. I paid the 25% deposit back in January. Will I ever see its return? Only became aware of actual problem (loss of HIES accreditation) in e mail from Solar Together Berkshire on 17/4/25. Before that it was "only" painfully slow progress. Contacted HIES only to be advised that I haven't been registered. In my opinion Solar Together must accept some responsibility, having placed me with Fusion8.

I had the same experience. After the Fusion 8 survey, paid a deposit it turns out wasn't registered with HIES. Now no phone call possible and emails not replied to. A phone call to Solar Together established that around 90 people had their contracts cancelled for lack of F8 capacity. Bit of a lack of oversight by Solar Together on progress of F8 installations and deposits correctly registered with HIES. What to do? Given the number of people affected this matter needs publicity. Any suggestions?

My experience is the same as the other recent posts. I was initially encouraged by the backing of New Forest District Council and Solar Together to go for solar panels but since paying over a hefty deposit contact from Fusion 8 has been poor and disorganised, and no progress made. To then find that I can't now have a compliant system installed is disappointing to say the least, I can't get any response from Fusion 8 and HIES don't have a record of my deposit either. Whether I can get my money back is questionable... As someone else has written - who can you trust?

Fusion-8 Status? Similar experience. Survey done, deposit paid and installation anticipated on 16 May. The subsequent communication from Solar Together saying the installation could not proceed and offering an alternative supplier was an admin error, I was told. Fusion-8 reconfirmed the installation date. Concerns raised by a neighbour today prompted a call to Fusion-8 who no longer answer their phone except for a automated message asking for email contact only. So I call Solar Together and I am told that (1) that their mail was not an admin error and (2) that any installation by Fusion-8 would not be covered by warranties etc and may be sub-standard. Obviously I emailed and sent letter to Fusion-8 to cancel the contract. They are obliged to return the deposit (£1600) but whether they will remains to be seen. Considering this is a Hampshire Council approved scheme, you wonder who one can trust?
