From initial contact with Brad and numerous contacts with the lady in the office to the lads that did the job the whole experience was excellent and stress free as much as it could be when getting major work done
I got free solar and heat pump installed by this company through the ECO scheme -The staff are super nice and friendly in the office and the installers were so respectful tidy and clean. I would highly recommend them, they really went above and beyond for me
Held off writing this review in the hope we would have some resolve. Please if you do anything in life, avoid getting involved with this company. Two week job and now on week 10. No heating, incomplete electrics, insulation and plaster needing redone. Damage to furnishings and fittings, damaged double glazing. 4 inspections, hundreds of emails and numerous phone calls. With no resolve and to be honest very little response. Most heart wrenching experience of my life!Funder inspection reported one of the worst projects he has ever seen. Wall attached to floating shelf that wasn't removed. Wall now wobbles. More plaster on the carpets, than on the walls. Skirting removed, left in the rain for 9 days, then refitted. Direct Savings default response - "fitted to manufacturers specifications".5 star review below is electrician subcontracted by Direct Savings, reviewing plumber employed by direct savings. Pay attention to the real reviews - I wish I did. One positive - company is very attentive when trying to secure contract. That doesn't last.Update 22nd December 2024:Week 24: Direct Savings have asked us to remove this review as part of their negotiation to complete the work, compensation and completing installation of heating.Unfortunately due to Direct Savings we will not be sitting cosy this Christmas. 24 weeks since they walked through my door, left me without heating and damaged our home. 8.5 degrees in my home on the run up to Christmas! Do your research before dealing with this company!
Around 2 years ago I was contacted by Direct Savings and I was qualified as part of the government scheme to receive a heating upgrade as I was totally electric. I received loft insulation first then a brand new gas central heating system and a couple of extracter fans and it never cost me a penny. The work is subcontracted out so I was lucky the guys were great. I was a bit dubious at first when I was told it would be free but it's been great for me. My electric bills were very expensive and now I'm around 1/3 of what I was paying.
Thankfully just read these reviews and feel like we've dodged a bullet.Direct Savings made an appointment with us for their surveyor to come round. I finished work early so I could be there, waited 3hrs but noone turned up. Called their office but no reply. This is after receiving 2 text messages from them to confirm the appointment.Not a good start to their service and lots of terrible customer reviews below to suggest it would only gets worse once they start the work.
Had my gas boiler serviced by Ricky.Great service explained everything to me throughly and was very polite.
Non stop trying to call me despite telling them I was no longer interested. Picked up today and told them I was no longer interested, a really rude employee had a go at me not going ahead and then hung up. Would not recommend using the company based on the interactions I've had with them.
Very disorganised company that will do the work, but only if you harass them for it at every step. Unfortunately they were the only company available to me that I could use for a government grant.The highlight for me was, 2 weeks after finally starting the work, a staff member quit and didn't pass on my info. I spent another week or so waiting for news before finally hearing back from someone. By this point their workmen were double booked and they asked I I could find someone to do the next stage of work for them (direct savings paid for this though).
Emailed for a quote, got a call back. Never had a ruder phone call from a business ever. He basically asked for £100 to show up and quote because 'customers' don't take up their quotes. I said I'm not other customers, 'well you are another customer'. He signed off by saying 'I don't want your custom anyway' and put the phone down on me.
Waste of time . After waiting months they cancelled 90 mins after they were supposed to be here. Just as well after reading reviews I think it has worked out in my favour
