I love this place. Mrs Smith is incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. It’s my happy place in a mad world. Every plant I have bought has flourished and gives me so much pleasure. I’ve gone for snowdrop bulbs for the first time and can see them poking their little heads out of my window box. It’s almost like stepping back in time to a slower more peaceful time. Go and visit and allow the world to stop spinning just for a minute 🦋

What an amazing place! A ‘proper’ garden centre/nursery. The staff went out of their way to help everyone and were really friendly. A fantastic choice of plants at good prices. I got chatting to a lady who said she was one of their longest standing customers, she was singing their praises. I was also present when a primary school trip arrived. I overheard the teacher expressing thanks to the staff for repeatedly providing a lovely free trip for their students. A really impressive community feel!

16 of us went on a tour of Smiths organised in advance. Mrs Smith was the tour leader and was very entertaining and knowledgeable. Her husband showed us the various items of technology which speeded up the processes of bringing the seeds from germination to sale. Everyone enjoyed the tour and most, including my wife, bought plants and other items. I would not hesitate to recommend E Smith & Son for their friendliness, enthusiasm and the quality of their products. Just one matter, it would be helpful if they had a couple of chairs or a bench as many of our members have bad backs! 😀 Again, I wish them every success in the future and would not hesitate in returning.

Visited a few times now, all the plants I have bought over the past few months are all healthy and growing nicely, unlike other places I've bought plants from. The prices are very good too. Staff are very friendly.
