This was the third solar system we have had installed by Contact Solar. The process is so easy. You ask for a quote; they advise how many panels they can fit on your roof and the size of battery. When you are ready, they arrange for scaffolding, they install and show you what you need to know. They then provide all the paper you need to apply to your energy provider so you can send surplus energy to the grid. The install is very professional, looks and functions great. I highly recommend Contact Solar.

The information provided in advance of the order of the battery was clear and informative. The team arrived promptly and solved problems over the location of the battery. They completed checks for safety as well.Throughout the fitting they made sure I was happy with the process, were extremely polite, friendly and professional.

A great team! Polite, efficient and hard working. They were friendly and respectful of our home. The solar panels look good although a couple have some marks on them which the fitters explained will wash off in the rain.

After much research, I chose CS to install my solar panels, invertor and battery, I have to say I am so glad I did.I rarely give five stars to any company as nothing is ever perfect but CS have been practically faultless from start to finish.Their set-up, professionalism, workmanship, customer support, attitude and response times are the best I have ever encountered. CS are an extremely well run company, an example of how all companies should be and aspire to but are not even close.From my initial contact with Dominic, to the support of Rohan and Stuart and all the girls in the various departments the service has been top notch, a very high bar indeed.People and teams have kept me informed, responded in a timely fashion to my questions and been supremely helpful, patient and knowledgeable when discussing the process along the way - a very well oiled machine.The installation team, a couple of young lads, Mason and Joel worked tidily, efficiently and respectfully to a very high standard. No mess, no music blaring out, no profanity, just a couple of hardworking, extremely professional and very helpful lads - a credit to their profession and top class representation for CS.I said earlier, nothing is perfect and the only blot on the landscape for me was the surveyor. Long story short he mis-diagnosed several situations that the installation team spotted straightaway which led to a slight delay in the completion of my installation.Normally I would knock a star off for this but the way it was sorted and resolved was first class and because every single aspect of the rest of my experience with the various departments and individuals has been so good there is no way I can deduct a star.CS really are a five star company, the issue with the surveyor is a minor wrinkle, which has been communicated to them, in an otherwise faultless and excellent set-up.CS also happened to be the cheapest quote, now cheapest is not necessarily the best but in this case it has been.CS don't mess about with what I call the 1990's double glazing sales techniques i.e. 'offer only good today' or 'let me call my manager to see what I can do' with a miraculous discount then materialising with the salesman then following up with 'you have done well there' and 'there is now no profit or commission in the job' - oh please spare me, but trust me, there are solar companies out there doing this, I met with them, one in particular comes to mind.Nothing of the sort from CS, a competitive, no nonsense quote from an excellent company who deserve all their success.It is important to add CS do not use cheaper/inferior products either in order to be the cheapest. All their equipment is up there with industry best, of a high quality from industry leading manufacturers.It is simply the case CS are a well run, well organised company who offer an excellent product and service at a very competitive price.By all means get other quotes but in terms of price, workmanship and support I doubt you will beat this company

I made an appointment with Antonia to call me today. What a lovely lady. She was helpful and understanding. It was lovely talking to her and she explained every thing to me. As you get older u need more time to absorb information. Antonia explained every thing clearly to me.

Contact Solar made the whole process of getting solar panels and batteries installed really easy. They kept to their planned dates and provided sufficient explanation before we agreed the contract. The installers were cheerful and hard working and the electrician was sensible about whereabouts in the loft to site the batteries and inverter.

The installers were cheerful and hard working and the electrician was sensible about whereabouts in the loft to site the batteries and inverter.

Had 14 panels, an inverter and battery fitted, panels were over 2 roofs, side that does not get the sun generates only 500w less than the side in the sun, so well worth having both sets fitted.Guys that came to do the install were very good, kept me informed at all the times, cleaned up all their mess at the end of the day, they did break a couple of roof tiles, but told me straight away, and instantly replaced them, brilliant service from the install team and from the Contact Solar office, especially from Lauren, very clear and procise on the phone, if you needed anything explained she was more than willing to go over it with you, lovely telephone manner in dealing with me, very polite.So thanks to all at Contact Solar for a very easy install and telephone support.

Never pushy and very pragmatic as to my needs.Documentation online, as to my quotation was clear and colourful. Also clear documentation supplied, as to what I was to supply to the company and pre install surveyor, as we progressed the workAs for installation. A good scaffolding company used with pre survey that was professional and then the riggers, correctly followed all scaffold regulations/tags and ladder locks etcContact Solar installers - two teams same day, one for electrics and one for roof. Both worked time efficiently and neatly. Friendly and informativeInstall team via the phone lines kept me quickly updated as to pre and post install timings and detailsNow its time to see what electricity, I can generate and use or sell. Contact Solar are an absolutely professional company.The staff are Incredibly knowledgeable and go the extra mile to ensure you have a seamless installation right from quote to installation.The on-site assessment team are both friendly and ensure you have full understanding of the installation process.The installation team were excellent. Ensuring a high quality job and then take you around the installed equipment explaining what each piece is and why it is installed in its position. They clean up all areas where they work. They are a real asset to the company. After installation of your system they have a dedicated Handover Team to deal with all the transfere paperwork for SEG Registration and activation of the EDF Empower tariff. They give you the same staff member through the process to ensure continuity. They cannot do enough for you.This is a very professional company who have very high standards and clearly set the bar high. You pay for quality and they have this in abundance. I thoroughly recommend you use Contact Solar.Well done! Everyone at Contact Solar.

The scaffolders were professional and the team doing the install were excellent. It was terrible weather conditions but they just pushed on through. They ended up coming back because half of the panels they had noticed had a scratch on them - which they had picked up on. They finished the job 2 days later in about an hour and a half and I’m really happy with the result.The cabling and work is really neat and the system is generating a lot.Very happy with everything.

The whole team at contact Solar are so professional & very helpful if you have a problem they will do their best to help you get over it they are only a phone call or a e-mail away. Also they are not like other Solar installers whom will keep bothering you if you are not quite sure others keep calling you to try to make you decide Contact Solar leave you to make your own mind up.

What a great team of installers. Friendly, tidy, and extremely hard working. They installed 20 panels in the front and back of the house plus the battery and gateway. All working superbly.

Enthusiastic sales team at the outset. We were attracted by the EDF Empower Tariff, in particular the feed in tariff rate.They were really helpful when we had to amend the plan following some garden works. Mason was really good in getting back to us and offering workable solutions.The solar panels and batteries are performing really well and saving us money. We have received all the relevant documents as promised and follow up has been good.I loved that they arranged with EDF to put us on the Empower tariff including sending all the required information for the feed in tariff (SEG) to be set up.It seems to be a large company with various different departments which impacted negatively at times on the communication between them. E.g. the installers didn’t seem fully informed with regards to where things were meant to go. We should have had an additional box outside the property next to the existing meter box to house the main switch, meter and isolator. These were was put inside, in our utility room instead (No box!). We had arranged to have a trench dug between the house and garage to house the cabling so the batteries could go in the garage, and the installers weren’t made aware of that.I also said on several occasions I didn’t want the installation until after Easter and every time I spoke to someone different they said they hadn’t been made aware and that they would make a note of it. Then they tried to arrange the scaffolding and the installation before Easter. We relented on the scaffolding but we did have visitors so it wasn’t particularly convenient.The main negative was we had to have the installers back to tidy up some of the shoddily done cabling and fill holes in the utility room wall which had been left or filled with clear silicone which looked terrible.In summary, we are really pleased we had it done due to the performance of the panels etc. and the immediate money saved on our electricity consumption. However they need to improve communication especially between the surveyor and installers to deliver what was promised. Most of all, more care with the cabling and considersation of what it will look like to save them having to revisit and rectify matters.

From start to finish Contact Solar have been a pleasure to deal with. Everyone from the phone calls and support to the installation team have made the whole process easy and an enjoyable experience. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Contact Solar.

My original review on the 4th April had a 1 star rating as I had been unable to get any traction with Contact Solar to resolve some queries. If its because of the Trust Pilot review or maybe I reached the top of the to do list - but the matter was then swiftly resolved a few days later. Joseph in particular has gone to great lengths to ensure all is OK - not an easy thing to do as I have been working abroad for most of the time since the initial review. See more
