Highly recommended. From the outset everyone at ECH Group was professional & knowledgeable. Their surveyors are also installers so know all the nuts & bolts, not just what they read from an app. The installation was efficient & now performing brilliantly. ECH were far & away the most cost effective system.
My first contact was with Carl who provided a quote, I then called for some technical information before deciding which option would be best. Shaun & Ryan came out to do a survey and confirm best formation of panels and location for battery/ inverter and installation date confirmed. Shaun Ryan & Nick completed the installation they all arrived on time and were polite & courteous. The handover pack took about 3 weeks to arrive with the MCN and advised the DNO number would follow. Overall a pleasant experience would recommend ECH Group Ltd
I got quotes from several companies while I was choosing my PV setup and found ECH to be the least pushy company I think I’ve ever dealt with which was refreshing. Installation went ahead as scheduled and considering they had 27 panels to fit they were all wrapped up by 4pm leaving plenty of time to catch the last few hours of sun. All in all a very professional company and a positive experience and I would definitely recommend.
Yesterday (3rd May) ECH Group travelled down to the South West from where they’re based in Fareham and installed 12 x 510 Aiko panels, a 5kW Fox inverter and a 10.36kWh Fox EP11.The electrician (quite a young guy but very knowledgeable and it turns out, very good at what he does) arrived first just after 9am, ran me through what he was going to do and cracked straight on. Around 20 minutes later the two installers arrived, introduced themselves and went through the install process, hardware locations and scoped out the roof. The electrical side of things was installed and running by lunch time with the full install complete by 1pm.I was taken through connecting the Fox Cloud app, making sure everything was online, reporting to the app and working. I was also run through the electrical side of things, breakers and cut offs to make sure I was happy if something was to go wrong. All in all, the guys were friendly, polite and very helpful, especially with the questions I was firing their way. All this despite working on a bank holiday week. The cabling is direct, tidy, labelled and secure. The install location was tidy afterwards and all rubbish removed.I personally cannot fault ECH. Granted it’s only been 24 hours. We’ll have to see what happens if there’s any aftercare required. But from the numerous emails back and forth in the research stage, I don’t feel like I’ll have any problems.Hope this helps someone in the future!
A very good company. I had solar panels and battery installed in November. The engineers were professional, tidy, very pleasant and polite. We had more panels installed this year. There have been a couple of small problems after the installation, but they were sorted by the company without any further ado.The owner, Mr Hughes is easy to get hold of and responsive via emails.
The battery installation was fine. The company is not so good at aftercare. 2 examples: 1 we also had a fast car charger installed which never worked as described (timed charging), despite months seeking solutions. The company was swift to try to offload responsibility for this, and we had to involve the credit card company to get a refund as not fit for purpose. 2 While attending to remove the charging device, the engineer spent less than 2 minutes resetting the battery to respond to our new router, for which they charged £150. Price gouging and mean-spirited. We intend to install a second battery but will not use this company again.
I received brilliant service from ECH; Carl was very knowledgeable when I enquired and the quote was very reasonable; install went perfectly and everyone was professional and tidy.Had 2 issues post install; neither due to ECH but David sorted both quickly and efficiently as well as giving me some useful advice.Highly recommend
Excellent company, very professional and very tidy work and friendly staff.Thank you very much.
I'm six months in with the panels now, wanted to give it some time before writing a review. This is both about ECH and SolaX, though I'm less critical of the SolaX direct service even though it's in China - they at least have helped with an app fault related to a lack of front end information. The ECH installation had a few early red flags. The workmen mucked about quite a bit, kicking a football that was in my garden about and generally being loud and laddish. Still, the job got done and the installation standard seems fine.On the digital side the setup of the system in line with my mobile app was really lacking. We pretty much didn't get to the point of it communicating with the app before they left. Thereafter I've spent occasional days messaging China to get things lined up as ECH kept shifting the blame onto SolaX talking about firmware updates etc. the eventual part resolution was nothing to do with a firmware update and the error in reporting was fixed remotely. However, still every single day for the first few hours of the day I get repeated error messages as the panels come online, two fault codes in particular. I sent these to ECH a handful of times, quite often replies would not come at all until I hassled the boss of the company and screenshotted other poor Trustpilot reviews asking if this was the norm. I have since seen some of those reviews disappear so I wonder if they are asking for removals. Anyway, the panels basically don't work for the first few hours of the day while the system gets over these startup faults. So day by day I'm losing value, even though they do eventually begin to work properly and when they do they're fine.I've given up asking ECH to help, they keep telling me the system is fine, but every day I get 2 particular error codes repeatedly. It's not fine and having asked them to take the time to come out and check they insist it's a remote fix. It's still not fixed. This smacks of a company that gets your money and once banked loses interest in the customer, which is a big shame as I would be in the market for a battery upgrade if my experience was different. All in all, use someone else and lean on China for help if you want a resolution, despite being a world away they at least take an interest in fixing issues.I have also just noticed a review, posted in my name this month, giving the company five stars! I did not wrote this! Either a fluke and another customer with my name, or posted by someone else. I see your reply, ECH - Go on then, tell me what's inaccurate about my review? All you offer below is deflection. And more than that - why is there a fake review in my name!
From start to finish the advice provided was very good at all stages and then the delivery of goods and installation was all received on the dates agreed.Great job
