DON’T USE! Back in early August 2025 my husband and myself brought a property which needed a new heat pump system before we could get a mortgage, late August we moved in I was 7 months pregnant at this point, mid September I call & messaged Adam to see if he could tell/show us how to change the temperature and set to new temp. On the 20th October Adam and another engineer came to the property for 10/15minutes to show my husband how this worked that was it nothing else. I received an invoice for £377 I was shocked as you can imagine, no quote lack of communication the reason for this is the mileage/fuel. Round trip was 150 miles, now I will hold my hands up and say I should have checked this out however I didn’t so I payed the price. Second engineer not needed why did he bring him and try and charge me for this!? I managed to get this charge removed when queried this issue, the question why was it on there in the first place!!!? I believe this could have been communicated over the phone as it was two buttons which needed pressing that was it……
I decided to clean under my sink unit this morning, only to find a pipe was leaking. Called AW and within 15 minutes a lady called to say someone was passing my house in next 10 minutes and would call. They arrived and, yes it was only a perished washer, but I'm on my own and was panicking. They fixed it and tidied up. Excellent service as always by this company.
Very helpful in installing a new boiler for a fair price and answered all my father's queries promptly.Fantastic service and very thorough, appreciate the lads hard work ethic and for sorting my door out on the side for nothing.Very well appreciated and highly recommended. Can't praise them enough. No need to look any further.
Have used this company a lot this year due to various issues cropping up. This last call out, they turned up within the hour and did a fast efficient job.
quick, efficient service as ever, very pleasant people to deal with
Would not recommend AW Renewables for multiple reasons.Took 3 visits over a 4 week period to fix issue. No hot water for this time. They rearranged the 2nd visit hours after they were due to be here. They didn’t arrive for the third visit with no communication. So that was two days I rearranged things and waited in for them, without them arriving.Turned up on a random day not agreed with me (at much inconvenience). No reply to my email requesting a breakdown of the invoice (which was twice the amount which I’d be led to believe it would be) for 3 weeks. When the owner did reply to my email he spent a lot of time telling me things that were not true (such as he had called me on a specific day when he hadn’t). I felt that he was more worried about proving himself ‘right’ rather than solving issues or apologising. It took a further few days for me to receive the requested breakdown of the invoice (so a total of 4 weeks).I have never left a negative review before but I really do feel that this company has a lot of improvements needed in terms of reliability, communication, clarity of pricing and customer service before I could recommend them to anyone. In reply to their answer below - my house is not even 10 years old so no service for 10 years is factually incorrect. Another incorrect fact from their reply is that the invoice originally provided was detailed- it literally had one £ figure on it, no breakdown at all. Their reply is an example of trying to put blame on a client with incorrect facts.
Our experience of this company is most definitely worth Five Stars! The staff are efficient, professional and extremely pleasant. It is a pleasure to do business with them. Kim and Jay Atkinson
Hired for fixing central heating. They quoted for power flush, which the plumber said wasn’t necessary when they arrived. Timeline: • Callout on 9 November for initial fault find• Engineer attendance on 18 November ~ 1 hour to add inhibitor• Engineer attendance on 1 December ~ 5 hoursThey, eventually(!) fixed the central heating system with cleaner, drain down & inhibitor and some new pipe. Wasn’t quoted for any of this work. Afterward they charged £544.80 for this: Materials - £50+ VatCallout= £50+VatTravel Time (visits 2 &3) = £50+ VatLabour = £304+ Vat Total = £454.00 + Vat = £544.80After many emails I eventually got the breakdown of charges above. I disputed being charged for travel time (my house is ~15 min drive from their base) and callout (they didn’t tell me up front that they charged for callout), but they didn’t budge. So heads up that if you go with them, these are the add-ons that you’re going to be dealing with.
